ABOUT MADELYN

Hi there! I'm a creative based in Brooklyn, NY specializing in photography that feel natural, thoughtful, and true to the people in front of my lens. My path as a photographer has taken me from Chicago to Los Angeles, and most recently, to New York City.

I picked up a camera in 2012 and quickly fell in love with photography while completing a 365 photo-a-day project. That daily practice shaped the way I see the world: paying attention to light, emotion, and the small, often overlooked moments that tell the biggest stories.

After earning my BA in Photography from Columbia College Chicago, I spent several years photographing weddings full-time. While I’m still deeply drawn to the big romance and emotion of wedding days, what has always mattered most to me are the quiet, in-between moments. Capturing the honest expressions, subtle connections, and fleeting details is where I shine.

Today, my work focuses primarily on portraits, along with a limited number of weddings and engagement sessions each year. Whether I’m photographing an individual, a couple, or a milestone moment, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel comfortable, authentic, and lasting.
